It's still our birthday week!

My sister's birthday was on Monday the 16th, so we share the same birthday week. I think it's fun having a sister that's a Pisces because we totally get each other :) Anyway, to end our birthdays we decided to get some dessert at Up2You Cafe, which was my sister and Mady's first time. The last time I went was more than 2 years ago so I knew I had to go back! Home of the brick toast ;)

My drink: Iced Green Tea Matcha

Sister's drink: Island Latte (caramel + hazelnut)

My sister and I got: Honey Brick Toast with almond butter, bananas and green tea ice cream.

Mady got: brownie with mint chocolate chip ice cream

Everything was BOMB. Totally satisfied my sweet tooth, for sure!

It's Spring time and you know what that means...

Happy Birthday to me!

28. So close to 30. What?! People still think I'm in the age range of 19-21 and I think my personality actually fits that quite well. I'm still a kid at heart and I think that's an important asset to have when you're an adult. Why be serious all the time when you can laugh and be silly? I'm all for it! :)

For the past few years, I avoided having huge birthday parties. I think over time, I just didn't care for the attention and all I wanted was to spend it with my family and really close friends. Nothing big because I'm a simple gal. Spending it with my family was definitely a birthday well spent.

Here's to another year. I'm so blessed to have such wonderful people in my life and thankful to have this passion for Art. God is Good

Back to my bloggin' roots...again, AGAIN.

I know I haven't been posting frequently on here and I want to change that.

I'm traveling to New York in less than 22 days and I know that I want to document my trip through photos. And I don't mean pictures straight from my iPhone. I'm talking about a real camera in hand, and a realllll nice lens. I miss that feeling.

Now, don't get me wrong, I do plan on documenting my trip through my drawings, but with all the walking and cousin-bonding that we'll be doing, I don't think I'll even have time to fit in a nice, long drawing session by myself. All the art related things will have to wait when I'm at the airport or something.  Besides, I've been itchin' to go out and snap real pictures. I have an external hard-drive full of pictures from each month spanning from 2004-2012! I was really consistent! That has to change pronto.

I'm really excited about this! I've always felt this blog/journal lacked something and I think it just needed some photographic touch :)

I'll be sure to document all my travels and adventures on here, as well as other lifestyle posts.

Being the organized freak that I am, I've separated my posts about my art, lifestyle and travels into different blogs. All you have to do is hover over the "Journal" link and there will be a drop down menu.

Stay tuned, my friends!
