Hello, my name is Char Villena. I am a Filipino-American Artist based in San Diego, California.

I document everyday life through art journaling while sharing the importance of mindfulness. I have gained a deeper perspective of the world and have become an observer of life through my extensive knowledge of meditation and mindfulness. I enjoy illustrating the little joys in my life, the people I see, the food I eat, and the beautiful scenes around me. I love sharing my life experiences through art, expanding my creativity, and appreciating my surroundings.

I’ve worked with traditional mediums such as watercolor and gouache for the past decade. I began creating digital art in 2020 that resembles my watercolor and gouache paintings.
