During this time of self-isolation, I’ve decided to learn Spanish. I’ve downloaded Duo Lingo and make it a point to study every day. Being able to communicate with others is something a lot of us take for granted, and I’m looking forward to increasing the amount of people I get to know by learning a new language. I would not have the time to learn this under our usual circumstances, so here’s to finding the silver lining in an otherwise uncertain situation.

The overwhelming current events via different platforms and actual stories from people I know can leave bitterness and pain, but I’ve come to terms that I must figure out a way to find a way to take a breather for my mental health/wellness.

For me.

Temporary it may be, yet tangible and nourishing for my soul, I’m able to create a sweet escape not just for me, but also to those around me.

Here, I want you to see what’s in my P(late)O(n)V(iew).

Very simple things have been bringing me the most joy during this quarantine! Experimenting with dried flowers and lots of downward dogs with my pup — she’s much better at the yoga poses than I am!

My violin classes have been conducted online since quarantine began. It’s a new norm — from figuring out the right spot to hold video calls to my bow getting caught onto the earphone wire. My upcoming graded exam has been postponed and there’s been so much uncertainty, but throughout this I am blessed with the fact I am safe at home, with much more time to practice ✨
